Mary Charleson, is a marketing speaker, educator and strategist. She is the author of www.fiveminutemarketing.com blog and weekly newsletter. Mary has authored two books: Word of Mouth Mouse & Mobile and Five-Minute Marketing and is a 15-year member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers.
Mary’s career spans over 20 years in media and marketing. She holds an MBA in marketing, and has taught at universities in both Canada and the United States. She is a contributing columnist to the Huffington Post and Business in Vancouver, and her work has been published in Strategy, the Globe and Mail, as well as the Toronto Star and Vancouver Sun. She is often interviewed on CBC radio and TV for her opinions on business and marketing.
Mary launched her second brand, CarryOnQueen.com in 2019, inspired by years of business and recreational travel with just one small bag – a carry on. CarryOnQueen.com focuses on travel writing and content creation, bringing together readers, writers and travel companies united in adventure travel for the 50-something female. A long-time travel writer for print media, Mary now contributes across multiple digital platforms, and as a speaker advises the tourism industry about best practices in marketing and media – bringing together her two passions.
