Thanks to all who shared your ideas with us! Here are some of what was shared:
- I love doing handwritten thank you notes!
- Send Prosecco or sweet treats as Welcome
- Heart of roses on beds
- I send Thank You cards to my clients when they return home.
- Offer a discount to a local restaurant the night before they travel so they don’t have to cook.
- For clients going to Europe on their trip I give them some Euros (small bills) to make it easier to pay tips when they first get there.
- I send a travel packet with all sorts of information, cruise lanyards for key cards if they are cruising, handwritten thank you notes, lots of automated emails to get them excited leading up to the trip and sometimes chocolate covered strawberries on a cruise.
- Every clients gets a small gift – local clients get a bottle of prosecco – when I drop off their Travefy documents in a branded holder
- Send a gift bag with items geared to their destination. Like for a safari: bug repellant wipes, small sunscreen, carabiner, hand sanitizer, small flashilight
- A small gifts with their Travefy docs and small gifts key card holders, bus cards, luggage tags holders with logo perfume holders hand sanitizer sometimes masks
- I give clients a bottle of wine and luggage tags with their docs, and then once in destination, I have a handwritten welcome note sent from me (help from the concierge) and I beg BDM to send something to their rooms from me
- I give Amazon e-cards for Group leader, Welcome back cards.
- Starbucks card sent the day the are traveling home.
- For repeat high end clients (several high end trips a year) I sent them Apple Airtags
- For big international trips I send an Amazon gift card so they can get last minute needed items
- Contact the tourism boards and travel suppliers for goodies to send to your clients.
- I don’t charge planning fees but as an independent agent with no commission split I plan a portion of commission to cover surprises
- I have stocked up on items from Dollar Tree – kleenix, gum, mints, toiletries, etc. Can get a lot of items for $1 – $1.25.
- I send handmade cards at different points. I also will add a bon voyage gift to their booking. For my first time cruisers, I give them a cruise kit that includes luggage tags, branded gifts, & other useful travel accessories.

- I give my clients the swags I get from the trade shows
- Some travel suppliers will allow you to redeem your earned points toward gifts/experiences for clients.
- I create a Snapfish book for my clients. They absolutely love it!
- I send an ornament related to their destination that holds a photo that they posted
- I also save pictures from their Facebook posts while they are on vacation, then get them printed out at the end of the year and send those pictures inside Christmas cards so they can relive a great vacation memory and it keeps me in their mind to book again.
- I give logo embroidered travel pillows before they leave for international trips.
- I send a “Welcome” Home text via Travefy Pro.
